At our May meeting we welcomed Dan Quinn of Wells Hollow Creamery. Dan shared a Power Point Presentation with us covering the important rules of pruning shrubs in our gardens.
We learned about the best time to prune shrubs and to keep pruning to 1/3 or less of the shrub.
Dan talked about the tools of the trade, our tools should always be sharp and clean.
Various shrubs were covered including smooth and panicle Hydrangeas, big leaf, oak leaf and climbing Hydrangeas, endless summer Hydrangeas, perennial Hibiscus and Roses.
Club member Dee Blewett spoke about the flowers on our Horticulture Table, including the fragrant arrangements of Lilacs, Daffodils and Lily of the Valley.
