At our April meeting we welcomed Lee Ganim of Ganim’s Garden Center and Florist in Fairfield, Connecticut.  Lee’s presentation was “Preparing Your Garden for Spring.”  

He is well known as “That Garden Guy” with his weekly Sunday morning radio show on WICC600AM.  His gardening talk show offers real-time advice for local gardeners as well as information about current gardening trends.

Lee shared a Power Point presentation with helpful information regarding the necessary tools and soil preparation needed for a successful garden.  After his presentation he opened the meeting to questions from the members regarding their own gardens.

Also present at our meeting was Nan Merolla, Second VP and Membership Chairperson of the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut and present member of the Wilton Garden Club.  Nan spoke about the Federated Garden Clubs and some of the things they do, she also answered questions from the members regarding the Federated Garden Clubs.
