Our July meeting was held at the American Legion Hall the topic was a “Plant Identification Contest.”  Members had lots of fun trying to identify different plants.

The next meeting of the Olde Ripton Garden Club will take place on August 2nd at 10 am at the American Legion Post 16 Hall at 295 Old Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton. We will be meeting indoors and masks are not required if you are fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated we do ask that you will wear a mask.

We will have a business meeting. Linda Hooper, Horticulture Chair, will present “Dragonflies in your Garden.” The theme for the horticulture table will be: A flower arrangement from your garden DISPLAYED IN A CREATIVE/UNUSUAL CONTAINER. Use your imagination and have some fun!

Our guest presenter in August will be Cathy Rich who will demonstrate and create flower arrangements which will be auctioned off at the end of the program.
