The Olde Ripton Garden Club’s summer meetings focused primarily on civic and business topics, but we still took advantage of the peak growing season to share the color and beauty through horticulture displays.
After our customary club business review, no speakers for our July and August meetings allowed us to concentrate on Shelton-specific interests, share tips, and help each other with gardening questions.
Highlights from the July meeting:
- Lillies, Spiderwort, and Gooseneck Loosestrife
- Chocolate cupcakes hidden under a frosting flag
- Joyce Fedorko presents on butterflies in the garden
- Sweetpeas
- Phoebe Tucker discusses the types of Feverfew

- Table arrangements by Holly Secskas
- Members pause to smile for the camera
